White River Woods is a 117-acre mixed woodland that protects important aquatic habitat in the White River Corridor. The publicly accessible section of White River Woods is a sun-dappled natural path just under 1 mile in length. Shagbark hickory, white oak, and maple trees create a thick forest canopy rife with birdsong. Virginia bluebells and purple phlox abound in the spring.
This preserve is a wetland forest. After rain, the trails may be muddy or temporarily submerged in water.
