Water Ecology & Quality Workshop

Expand your knowledge of river ecology and water quality issues while trying out monitoring techniques at our Water Ecology & Quality Workshop on Thursday, August 29 from 6:30pm-8pm. Led by a Hoosier Riverwatch trainer, the workshop will show you how to identify the biological, chemical, and physical characteristics of a river and the ways they relate to water quality and ecosystem health. The class will start at Davis Purdue Ag Center and end at McVey Memorial Forest. We will be doing live water quality testing in the Mississinewa River. Wear shoes you are comfortable getting wet.
No prior knowledge or experience is required. Registrants must be 18+ years old.
A $10 registration fee* covers in-class water testing materials, printouts, and snacks.

- Venue: David Purdue Ag Center (6230 IN-1, Farmland, IN 47340) then McVey Memorial Forest, North trailhead (2-minute drive from the classroom. The parking lot at the trailhead is very small. You have the option to carpool with your classmates or park on the side of County Road W 750 N).
