Indiana Academy of Science Bio Blitz

Red-tail Land Conservancy in partnership with the Indiana Academy of Science and Robert Cooper Audubon Society will be hosting a Bio Blitz June 10th to 11th. This event will be at RLC Delaware and Randolph County properties, White River Woods and McVey Memorial Forest. Researchers from various taxonomic groups will be surveying both properties and are in need of your help! Groups include bird, small mammal, fish, plant, reptile, amphibian, beetle, bat, and more! All are welcome to volunteer with any group no matter your experience level! If you would like to volunteer for the bird surveys please contact Dr. Kamal Islam at kislam@bsu.edu. All other volunteers can meet at the kick-off meeting Saturday, June 10th at 8:00 a.m. at the Oakwood Retreat Center Barn. Groups will be in the field both days at the discretion of the group leaders. Please dress appropriately for the weather and pack a sack lunch! Field work on Saturday will end in a dinner at 6:00 p.m. where preliminary survey results will be discussed. (There will be vegetarian/vegan options at the dinner!)
