Earth Day Tree Planting *Registration Full*

April 23 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
  • This event has passed.

Trees provide food and shelter to hundreds of species of wildlife, from bees to deer. Celebrate Earth Day 2022 by restoring an empty field back into a vibrant wetland forest on Saturday, April 23 from 10am-12pm at our family-friendly Earth Day Tree Planting in Reber Woods. The birds, frogs, and butterflies need you!

Earth Day Tree Planting 2022 is presented by Red-tail Land Conservancy, Heintzelman Hardwood Floors, and Plant Roots Foundation.

Bring plenty of water to stay hydrated. Please wear pants and sturdy closed-toed shoes that you do not mind getting muddy. Please bring your own work gloves and shovel. There will be some shovels available to borrow.

Reber Woods is located in Muncie on N. Morrison Road. Because it is undergoing restoration work, it has no on-site parking or drop-off location.

Trinity Baptist Church (5000 N. Morrison Rd) has generously allowed volunteers for this event to park in their lot. Click HERE for driving directions. From the parking lot, there is a 100 yard walk to the planting site. Signs will mark a path from parking to the tree planting site.

To help us prepare for the event, please register. Registration is being capped at 50.
